Teach Now, Plan Later - Let's Teach SEL With NO Prep Time, for Now

So you’ve decided you’re ready to explore the idea of using SEL lessons in your daily routines and across the curriculum so your students have a powerful set of tools to enhance well-being and you can create a community that thrives. The problem? You don’t know how.

When I first started teaching this way, I was faced with that same problem. I grew stressed and concerned that without a massive amount of additional teaching time, my students would NEVER reach their learning potential.

I spent years trying so many different “quick fixes" to get my students to handle group work, resolve their playground spats and respect each other in class. I made mistakes, and at first, my students clashed with each other and sometimes with me.

But I didn’t give up, and after a lot of trial and error, and numerous courses in SEL and brain-based learning, I finally discovered how to teach interpersonal skills to children through social interaction. These 5 cross-curricular video lessons, designed for 3-12 year olds, use story-telling, drama, dance, music, and visual arts to teach essential social-emotional learning skills in fun and interactive ways.

SEL Wisdom for Kids is a set of 15-20 minute lessons based on whole brain learning addressing higher level thinking. These proven strategies in communication and leadership skills are introduced in fun and engaging ways that ANYONE can integrate into their own curriculum.

These model lessons for students start with an introduction followed by 5 lessons:

  1. Defining & Managing Emotions
  2. Emotions in Body Language
  3. A Powerful Way to Deal with Emotions
  4. Point of View: Understanding Others
  5. Recognizing Emotions & Calming Others

Empower your students to be agents of change and foster a sense of belonging by cultivating empathy, understanding and connection TODAY. SEL Wisdom for Kids creates a positive impact on their future and the world around them.

Use these “done for you” lessons to kick-start social-emotional learning inside your curriculum and daily routines. Enjoy!
